Axa Group posts €100m revenue growth in UK & Ireland

Provider's CEO lauded highest first half group earnings in company's history.

Axa Group has reported revenues of €2.13bn (£1.7bn) for its UK and Ireland operations, excluding direct business, in the first six months of 2014.

This is an increase on the €2.04bn posted in the first half of last year.

The provider also reported revenues of £902m for its UK and Ireland property and casualty operations in the second quarter of 2014.

This is compared with £791m reported in the same period of last year.

The UK and Ireland division of Axa Group contributed 13% of personal motor
