Dave Smith to remain as Zurich CEO until April 2015

Smith stepped into the role following departure of Steve Lewis.

Zurich has confirmed that Dave Smith will remain as CEO for its UK General Insurance business for the next eight months.

He then plans to retire from the business.

Smith, formerly managing director of Zurich’s UK commercial broker division, stepped in as interim CEO following the departure of predecessor Steve Lewis last month.

In a statement, Zurich confirmed: “Since then, he and the UKGI executive team have worked hard to ensure that the business keeps firmly focused on delivering to its plan
