Steve Lewis standing down as Zurich UKGI CEO

Insurer boss leaving to pursue opportunity outside the company.

Steve Lewis, CEO of Zurich’s general insurance business in the UK is leaving the company with immediate effect.

He is leaving to “pursue a new opportunity outside the company”, according to the provider.

Dave Smith, managing director UK commercial broker, will step in as interim UKGI CEO, subject to regulatory approval.

Lewis has worked within the Zurich group since 1989 and was appointed to the UK GI chief role in July 2009.
