Legal & General closes Belfast office

Provider says closure will complete in July.

Legal & General has closed its office in Belfast, Insurance Age can confirm.

The claims and customer service work previously carried out in Belfast has moved to the insurer’s service centres in Birmingham and Ipswich, resulting in the loss of around 15 jobs.

A spokesperson for the company told Insurance Age: “The move has meant that both brokers and customers will benefit from the latest claims servicing models which will enable us to remain competitive.”

The process of closing the branch began
