CII stats reveal slight decline in disciplinary action

Big losses see Amazons shares hit 12-month low

Number of disciplinary cases dropped by four.

Disciplinary activity overseen by the Professional Standards Board (PSB) of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) declined slightly in 2013.

According to the PSB’s 2013 annual report, the organisation oversaw 521 disciplinary cases last year, compared with 525 cases in 2012.

Of the total, 311 cases comprised of non-CPD related matters, while the remaining 210 cases were CPD defaulters.

Of the non-CPD cases disciplinary actions ranged from Financial Conduct Authority final notices, membership
