Bluefin takes Paul Drake from Thistle
New recruit to develop broker’s start-up MGA.
Bluefin has appointed Paul Drake as head of underwriting, reporting to chief executive Mike Bruce.
He joins from Thistle Insurance Services where his responsibilities included that of chief underwriting officer. Drake was also a founding director of the Managing General Agents Association, a position he held until mid-2013.
In total he brings over three decades of senior underwriting experience to the position including roles at XL Insurance and R J Kiln amongst others.
