Sterling tipped to be up for sale

Provider is on the market ahead of a possible sale, according to market sources.

High net worth specialist Sterling Insurance, owned by chairman Nick Cooper, is believed to be in talks to make an outright sale.

Sterling is one of the last independent UK insurers operating in the market.

The company is known to have engaged in talks around a deal with Towergate a number of years ago and according to sources is back on the market.

However in a statement the provider declined to comment on the “market rumours”.
