Zurich job losses to impact primarily on UK, Ireland and Switzerland

Provider is planning to "remove management layers" from global organisation.

Zurich has confirmed that the 800 proposed job losses announced today will primarily impact the UK and Ireland and Switzerland operations, although the group is "looking at the entire organisation".

According to a spokesperson, the provider plans “to remove management layers between group and the business units”.

The spokesperson commented: “We cannot be more specific about the exact number or location of affected staff until we have concluded the consultations with employee groups.
