Deloitte: Q4 weather damage claims highest for a decade

Almost 200,000 claims were made during the quarter, more than double that of Q4 2012.

Deloitte has asserted that the weather damage claims received during Q4 2013 were the highest for a decade.

The accountancy firm said the widespread storms and flooding suffered during the final three months of 2013 generated some 198,000 insurance claims.

According to the firm, this was more than twice the number reported during the same period of 2012.
