Former IIB technical head warns of "formidable" regulator
Ann Peel cites FCA's "root-and-branch review" of insurance.
Former Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) technical boss Ann Peel has urged brokers to "look closely" at their sales methods in light of a "formidable" regulator.
Peel, technical consultant for Insurance Compliance Services who worked for the IIB up until June 2012, issued a warning for brokers, citing the watchdog's focus on "good outcomes" for consumers.
"Insurance intermediaries of every kind need to look closely at their sales and sales monitoring processes," she told Insurance Age.
