Ex-Groupama chief returns to Axa as personal intermediary MD

Laurent Matras

Matras was previously at the insurer for eight years.

Laurent Matras, former managing director of Groupama Insurances, has returned to Axa as managing director of the provider’s personal lines intermediary division.

Matras previously spent eight years at Axa, including two as head of personal lines underwriting, and almost three as finance director.

He joined Groupama in 2008, and left in February 2013 following its sale to Ageas.

Karen Hogg, who took up the personal intermediary position in August 2012, has been appointed to the new role

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin
