Aviva appoints IAG's Ian Foy in new MD role

Appointment created to grow and build the business, says Aviva.

Aviva UK and Ireland general insurance (UK&I GI) has appointed Ian Foy to the newly created role of managing director of personal motor, home and specialist lines.

Foy was previously group chief executive of IAG’s UK operations, and left in April 2013.

Foy previously worked at Aviva’s New Zealand business, between 1998 and 2003, having begun his career at General Accident.

He rejoins the provider with immediate effect and will report to Maurice Tulloch, CEO, UK&I GI.
