Former Allianz commercial boss Hanks lands Liberty non-exec role

Retirement of non-executive director Richard Youell also confirmed.

Former Allianz Commercial general manager Chris Hanks has been named a non-executive director at Liberty Syndicate Management, which trades as Liberty Speciality Markets. 

Hanks - who left his role at Allianz in June last year - also replaced Alec Finch as the non-executive chairman of the Purple Partnership in October 2013.

It comes as the retirement of Liberty's non-executive director Richard Youell was also confirmed.

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
