RSA placed on negative watch by Fitch
Rating agency warns that "some of RSA's key financial metrics are weaker than its ratings would suggest".
RSA's financial strength rating of A has been placed on negative watch by Fitch Ratings.
The rating agency stated that the rating watch negative (RWN) action was taken after the announcement of a further £130m capital strengthening for its Irish business, on top of the £70m already pumped in.
Fitch stated: "The RWN reflects further weakening of the group's capital position as well as renewed uncertainty regarding the ability of RSA to restore its capital position through retained earnings growth
