Rural Insurance appoints Aon's Barclay as MD
Current head Simon Stevens stepping down to relocate abroad.
Rural Insurance has appointed Ian Barclay as managing director of Rural Insurance.
He will also be appointed to the board of UK General Insurance, Rural's parent company.
Barclay begins his new role in February 2014, reporting to UK General group chief executive Peter Hubbard.
He joins from Aon Risk Solutions, where he was MD personal lines, and replaces Simon Stevens who is stepping down from the business, with plans to relocate abroad in 2014.
