Biba calls for small business Flood Re inclusion

Statement of Principles replacement also excludes council tax band H properties.

The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has called on the Water Bill Scrutiny Committee to push for the inclusion of small businesses in Flood Re.

The replacement to the Statement of Principles excludes SMEs, a move Biba described as "retrograde".

It has provided both written and oral evidence to the committee arguing for them to be included.

And Biba executive director Graeme Trudgill said: "We think it is important to help small businesses with a turnover of less than £1m and less
