Amlin UK CEO Carpenter to retire in 2014

Departing chief will hand over responsibilities in stages.

Brian Carpenter is to retire as CEO of Amlin UK in 2014.

Robert Lawther, deputy underwriting director of Amlin UK, will take on interim leadership of the company’s property and liability underwriting with immediate effect.

Carpenter will hand over his remaining responsibilities for Amlin UK by the end of January 2014.

From February until his retirement, Carpenter will take on a role in group underwriting, using his considerable experience to contribute to the strategic development of the group.
