Holman admits Markerstudy may make fresh Brightside bid

Martyn Holman

Markerstudy will be able to return with a new offer in Spring 2014.

New Markerstudy group commercial director Martyn Holman has not ruled out the insurer making another swoop for broker Brightside.

Holman - who left Brightside shortly after Markerstudy failed with its takeover bid in September - said there "may be some discussion" about a follow-up proposal next year.

He told Insurance Age: "I don't think Markerstudy can get back involved in Brightside until March - there may be some discussion about that.

"We will see what the next couple of months will bring."
