Aon enjoys 25% profit leap
Broker posts healthy third quarter 2013 results.
Aon enjoyed a third quarter profit jump of 25% to $256m [£186m], a substantial rise on the $204m posted for the same period last year.
The broker's total revenue increased by 2% to $2.8bn for the quarter, an increase Aon explained was "primarily driven" by a 3% rise in organic revenue.
However, it stated that this was "partially offset" by a 1% impact from foreign currency translation and a 27% fall in investment income due to lower average interest rates.
