Starling to leave ABI amid executive exodus

Nick Starling is to leave the Association of British Insurers (ABI) in a restructure of the organisation.

Alongside Starling, who currently holds the role of director of general insurance, Maggie Craig and Steve Gay are also to leave the executive team.

Otto Thoresen, director general at the ABI, said: “I want to thank them for their work and the significant contribution they have made.”

Thoresen stated that the new structure would allow the organisation to deliver a “more focused, effective service for our members”: “Today’s changes will make the ABI fit for the future and ensure we are well placed
