Barbon names First Assist's Totty as CEO

Barbon Insurance Group has appointed Martin Totty as CEO.

Totty replaces Ian Sutherland, who had held the role of acting CEO and was previously CFO of Barbon and Caley Ltd.

Sutherland will leave the broker after a short handover period.

Totty was previously CEO at First Assist Insurance Services.

In addition, Malcolm McCaig is to succeed Jamie Drummond-Smith as chairman of Barbon from 1 October 2013, in addition to continuing his role as chairman of Caley.
