Covéa deputy chairman Fearn to step down after 14 years

Garry Fearn is to step down from his role as executive deputy chairman at Covéa Insurance.

Fearn assumed the role in September 2012, and will leave on 15 September.

He has been with Covéa, then known as Norman Insurance, since 1989, becoming chief executive in 1996.

He continued in this role throughout the company’s name change to MMA in April 2000 and led the group’s acquisition of Swinton in 2000. He has also been a director of Swinton since the purchase.
