AJG's Deakin dismisses Giles integration challenge

Arthur J Gallagher's (AJG) new commercial director Janice Deakin has insisted that the integration of Giles will not be a "complicated business".

Yesterday, the market's long-running summer acquisition rumour was confirmed with the announcement that AJG had bought Giles in a cash deal worth £233m. 

Giles - which boasts some 43 offices across the UK and the Channel Islands - employs more than 1,100 people and includes the likes of networks Westinsure and Compass Broker Services, as well as underwriting unit Ink and Lloyd's broker FSJ Broking among other operations.
