Axa UK unveils new group chief financial officer

Axa UK has unveiled Bertrand Poupart-Lafarge as the UK group's chief financial officer, replacing Jean Drouffe who will assume a leadership position in Axa France.

Poupart-Lafarge has previously worked for Axa in France, the USA and Canada, where he was also chief financial officer. 

And Paul Evans, Axa UK and Ireland group chief executive, said: "I would like to thank Jean Drouffe for his professional and dedicated stewardship of the UK finance function since 2010 - a challenging period during which we have successfully refocused and restored the profitability of the Axa UK business.

"I have greatly valued Jean's strong financial counsel, strategic vision
