AIG faces disruption after minor fire closes Fenchurch Street office

Closed sign

AIG’s office at 58 Fenchurch Street has been closed due to a small fire.

The incident took place at around 5.30pm on Saturday 31 August.

There were no injuries and the fire was extinguished by the London Fire Service.

As a result of damage to the building, the provider’s operations based at the Fenchurch Street office have been moved to alternative locations in London.

Steve Muir, communications manager at AIG, told Insurance Age that the cause of the fire was still being investigated.

According to Muir, it is hoped that staff will be able to re-renter the building
