CDL suffers "major outage"

CDL has this morning experienced a "major outage" that could impact on all of its applications, Insurance Age can reveal.

The software provider issued a ‘major incident notification' email from its Service Desk before 9am about the problem, warning that it had affected "all CDL services". 

At the time Stockport-based CDL said that investigations were ongoing into the incident and that it was working to restore all services.

The firm provided a further 9:45am update stating that it was "still in the process of restoring their infrastructure."

The notice continued: "Given the complexities of the CDL systems and tests
