Howden swoops for Cardiff-based broker WPS

Howden Insurance Brokers has made inroads into the employee benefits space after securing a deal to buy broker Workplace Pension Solutions (WPS).

WPS - which will operate under the Howden brand - was set up in 2012 by Jon Francis and Robbie Weston and is headquartered in Cardiff. 

John Bennett, CEO of Howden, described WPS as a "high-quality, client-focused operation".

He continued: "It is very well positioned to help grow our already significant global employee benefits business: the team's existing clients will benefit from access to Howden's wider corporate insurance capabilities, and the addition of a strong employee benefits
