Zurich creates new roles in bid to help brokers battle fraud

Zurich has launched a dedicated policy validation unit and created two new roles to help brokers in identifying fraud.

The rest of the team is made up of members of the existing personal lines division based in Hampshire.

Research conducted by the provider found that 84% of brokers think insurers could help more in combatting fraud at the quote stage.

In addition to this, while 68% of brokers surveyed claimed application fraud was a growing issue, 32% said they were not currently doing anything to prevent it.

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
