Client view: What makes a professional broker?

The latest stage of Insurance Age's professionalism campaign, called the Client View, has looked to uncover the key attributes of a quality broker. 

For several clients chartered status was not the be-all and end-all with other elements featuring more prominently on their list of priorities.

In the case of Mike James, boss of Portsmouth-based shop-fitting company A E Hadley and long-term client of Darwin Clayton, knowing that a broker has "completely got your back" was the vital factor.

He told
