UIB and Elite in renewed assault on UK solicitors' PI market

UIB has renewed its binding authority capacity deal with Elite Insurance for another year.

The broker stated that it was “planning a renewed assault on the UK solicitors’ professional indemnity (PI) market”, and said the extended deal would build on the success of the original one year agreement with Elite.

UIB also claimed that in order to deal with changes to the solicitors’ PI market, particularly the abolition of a compulsory annual renewal date from October 2013, it was currently developing new products with its provider partner. The first new offering is due to be launched ahead
