BGL buys Minster Law

BGL has bought Minster Law following the Solicitors Regulation Authority approval of the law firm’s Alternative Business Structure (ABS).

Minster Law, formed in 2006, has been working with BGL for the past seven years, with the law firm helping to manage the claims process for the group's motor and bike insurance customers.

All Minster Law employees are being kept after the purchase and Adrian Christmas, the current chairman of the company, will become non-executive chairman.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
