Lockton takes legal chief from Towergate

Lockton has appointed Sam Clark as the new general counsel to Lockton Companies.

Mr Clark has been with Towergate for 10 years and is currently head of legal secretariat at the consolidator.

Mike Hammond, CEO of Lockton, said: "We are delighted that Sam is joining the team.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
