Bluefin misses out on Fusion duo

Bluefin CEO Stuart Reid has admitted that the broker's attempt to recruit Fusion Insurance directors Nick Wright and Stewart Gardiner has proved unsuccessful.

Insurance Age had reported that discussions were afoot about the possibility of the duo swapping Towergate-owned managing general agent Fusion for the broker in a bid to grow Bluefin's MGA offering. 

However, Mr Reid confirmed that the pair had instead opted to remain at Fusion.

He said: "Unfortunately they're not coming, it's disappointing we were not successful in recruiting both Stewart and Nick, they are quality people in the MGA arena.

"We wish them well for their future at Towergate but
