Markel launches liability product for charities

Markel UK has launched a liability product for charities and community groups.

The product will be available to Markel’s broker partners through its e-trading system.

The product comes with a minimum premium of £75 for public liability, and cover is offered across four sections – liabilities; management risks; comprehensive property and fidelity - which can be purchased separately or as a package.

Wendy Cotton, social welfare line manager at Markel UK, described the product as adaptable and said coverage had been extended to include protection against abuse claims in order

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
