Insurer view: Professionalism as partnership

Aviva has concluded the insurer-view segment of Insurance Age’s professionalism campaign by declaring professionalism is about partnerships.

Aviva admitted in our recent survey that it had no plans to seek chartered status.

However, Gareth Hemming, commercial director at the provider, explained that while there is nothing wrong with chartered status the insurer looked at brokers individually.

"The key thing for us is the partnership with the broker," he said. "That is fundamental whether they are chartered or not. It is about working for value for everybody."
