Teradata Universe 2013: Insurers have natural big data advantage
Insurance companies have an intrinsic big data advantage when it comes to improving their businesses, a global management consulting firm has declared.
Michael Chui, principle, McKinsey Global Institute, gave a talk to Teradata Universe delegates on creating value from big data.
And he told Insurance Age: "Data has always been important to insurance companies.
“The amount of data is increasing and there are new data sources, so businesses need to ask themselves ‘how can I use this data to do the things that are important to my company, but better?’.”
