Lloyds tops FCA insurance complaints table

Lloyds TSB Bank received 312,668 complaints regarding general insurance and pure protection, according to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) latest figures.

The data for complaints to financial services firms between July and December 2012 put Bank of Scotland, Barclays, MBNA and Capital One (Europe) in the top five for the category.

Looking at all products, Barclays Bank had the most complaints with 414,302 in the second half of 2012.

In total, there were 3,422,384 complaints in the period, an increase of 1% on the first half of the year.
