Newcastle United star punished for driving without insurance
Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa has been disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to driving without insurance.
The France international footballer, 26, was handed a 49-day driving ban and a £5,100 fine after being caught speeding at around 110mph in a 70mph area without insurance on his Mercedes, sister title Post has reported.
Newcastle Magistrates Court was reported to have heard that the footballer sped past a police car in the city on 6 September last year.
He pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and one count of speeding via an interpreter.
