Towergate closes broking operation in Birmingham
Towergate has closed part of its Birmingham branch and made managing director Brian Kerry redundant, Insurance Age can reveal.
The move will see Towergate move its broking operations to Warwick.
The decision has affected 12 staff in total and director Jane Walker has also left. Staff were told of the changes at the beginning of last week after a consultation process had been completed.
While the broking operation has been moved, the office is not being closed as the Riskline team will be maintained there.
"There will be a number of redundancies and we are moving the clients to our Warwick office," confirmed Mike Lawton
