County Insurance to open Manchester office

County Insurance Consultants, part of the County Group, is poised to open a Manchester office.

The broker said the office - which is based in the city centre - will open on 1 March. 

Group MD Dave Clapp said: "Having grown organically for a number of years now, we felt the time is now right for us to have an office in the centre of Manchester.

"We already have a number of clients there and it is our ambition to attract and service more clients, who tend to be located in Manchester, by being there ourselves."

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
