Wilsons takes on two and promotes three in expansion push

The Wilson Organisation has made two senior hires and promoted three experienced professionals in the first stage of its expansion plans for 2013.

Richard Lloyd has joined as the firm's new general insurance team manager from Towergate in Nottingham. He has previously held senior positions at Sutcliffe, Williams & Williams, Westerby Insurance and Marsh UK.

Julie Downes has also come on board at Wilsons as account director having spent 14 years at Derby-based broker AH Bell where she headed the professional indemnity department. She has worked for Wilsons previously and brings 20 years' experience in the niche market to her new role.
