Admiral considering claims specialist takeover

According to the Mail on Sunday, the car insurer is looking to buy Lyons Davidson to ensure it will not lose out from the Government's ban on referral fees, set to be introduced this April. 

A source is quoted as saying that there was an "arrangement in hand" or imminent between the two.

It is expected that the move would see legal work taken in-house, enabling Admiral to continue to take a share of the profits earned by lawyers on claims.
