Catlin launches terrorism cover

Catlin has introduced a terrorism insurance product including crisis response services and coverage for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (‘CBRN’) losses.

The provider listed that the ‘UK Asymmetric' product, underwritten by the Catlin Syndicate at Lloyd's and Catlin UK, included comprehensive coverage of property damage, business interruption, general and employers' liability, clean-up costs and consultancy expenses arising from an act of CBRN terrorism.

It detailed that the pre-incident support and post-incident response services offered by the product will be provided by SecureBio, a UK-based firm that specialises in providing high-security

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
