Bryan James boosts equestrian book with Brightwells buy
Bryan James & Co has bought the insurance division of property management and auctioneer company Brightwells.
The broker has taken on Brightwells’ main office in Herefordshire, which manages a substantial book of equestrian insurances.
Peter Lester, director at Bryan James, said the company targeted Brightwells because "its spread of business fitted in with ours, and the location suited us".
He told Insurance Age that the auctioneer would continue to act as a business introducer for the broker, and that the firm would run its specialist horse schemes out of the new office.
