Aviva hits out at Biba comments
Aviva has refuted comments made by Graeme Trudgill, head of corporate affairs at the British Insurance Brokers’ Association on BBC Breakfast television.
Mr Trudgill, in keeping with a statement released later by the trade body, discussed insurers becoming stricter on paying claims and promoted the need for broker involvement. He did not name Aviva directly.
However, Robin Spencer CEO of Aviva's UK general insurance business, retorted that settling customers' claims "quickly and effectively" was a "key priority" for the provider.
He continued: "We disagree with any suggestion that we are making it harder for customers to make or receive claims.
