Equity Red Star confirms Ecclesiastical's Ansvar broker motor deal
Equity Red Star has agreed terms to take on Ecclesiastical Insurance's Ansvar broker motor business following the parent company's decision to withdraw from the market in November 2012.
Insurance Age revealed the insurer's decision to pull back last year, as well as Equity Red Star's swoop for South Essex Insurance Broker's motor accounts following the announcement.
Now, Equity Red Star has confirmed it has taken on all the business which is underwritten by Ansvar Insurance - owned by Ecclesiastical.
Specifically, Equity Red Star has taken on the renewal rights of Ansvar's intermediated private car, van and minibus motor portfolios and it will offer renewals on these risks as
