Aviva France CEO announces immediate resignation

Aviva has confirmed that Philippe Maso y Guell Rivet has resigned as CEO of Aviva France.

Mr Maso joined the insurer in July 2011 and was previously CEO of Axa Insurance UK from 2008 to 2011. 

Speaking about his departure, which is effective immediately, Aviva chairman John McFarlane said: "I would like to thank Philippe for his contribution to both the business in France over the last 18 months, and more recently, to the group overall.
