Competition Commission sets out motor investigation timetable

The Competition Commission has unveiled the timetable for its investigation into the private motor insurance market.

The issue was originally referred to the Commission by the Office of Fair Trading in September this year.

Those looking to submit evidence have until 9 January 2013 and the publication of provisional findings is set for September.

In a statement the Commission reported: "The CC is now carrying out its own comprehensive investigation, to see if there are any features of this [private motor insurance] market(s) which prevent, restrict or distort competition and, if so, what action might be taken
