Lorica recruits Towergate's Northampton chief

Lorica Insurance Brokers has appointed the managing director of Towergate Insurance Northampton.

Ms Walker, who has resigned from the consolidator, will join Lorica next year. Full details of her role have yet to be confirmed, the company saying only that she will join in "a senior management capacity".

Matthew Bray, chief executive officer at Lorica, said: "I am delighted that Julie has chosen to join our business.

"Her knowledge and experience will be a key asset in helping us to reach our business objectives, and I look forward to working with her."

ALA expands range with pothole insurance

Yorkshire-based GAP insurance provider ALA Insurance has expanded its product offering with the launch of a specialist pothole insurance policy, in a move it claimed targets one of the “more persistent and costly problems facing UK motorists”.
