Ecclesiastical MD addresses broker concerns
The managing director of Ecclesiastical's UK business Steve Wood has moved to allay brokers' fears following the insurer's decision from the UK broker motor market.
The provider has confirmed that the move - which followed a strategic review of its UK motor business - will take effect in early 2013.
Both the Ecclesiastical and Ansvar brands will be withdrawn, affecting the insurer's fleet and motor schemes books, worth about £20m in gross written premium in total.
But Mr Wood insisted that Ecclesiastical had already contacted all its main motor scheme and fleet brokers about the decision.
